The 18th Network Young Membrains Meeting (NYM 2021) will be held in Lund, a picturesque university town in Sweden, on 25-27 November2021 under the motto ‘Membranes and Nature’.

NYM 2021 will focus on connecting early career researchers and industrials from the world of membrane technology. This year, NYM 2021 is partnered to Euromembrane 2021, which will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark on 28 November - 02 December 2021. This means that as a participant of NYM 2021 and Euromembrane 2021 you can explore the greater Copenhagen area on both sides of the Öresund, visiting two countries and meeting two cultures. Furthermore, you can experience the long traditions on membrane science in Scandinavia and learn about the world-leading research facility MAX IV Laboratory.

The motto reflects on the program. Participants will get the chance to visit a membrane company working with nature's own tricks. As well, they will be able to study membrane processes in a real industrial setting used for the production of biotechnological products.

Lectures and a panel discussion with established and early career researchers and professionals will focus on membrane technology and its role for a more sustainable world. Networking and an attractive social program will be a very important part of the meeting. To support the exchange, participants are expected to present their research by a project pitch and a poster presentation.

We welcome up to 30 participants over the three days that we will spend in Lund, Malmö and Copenhagen.

Best Poster Awards We are delighted to announce that the European Membrane Society will sponsor our poster session. Thanks to that, we will be able to award three prizes of 500€ each to the three best posters presented during the 18th Network for Young Membrains Meeting.

a. Meeting fee for EMS member: 2490 SEK
b. Meeting fee for non EMS member: 2790 SEK
c. Meeting fee for non EMS member + EMS membership: 3090 SEK

The registration package includes the full meeting program for November 25 - 27, lunch and coffee breaks during the meeting, as well as evening social events.
